For our first essay assignment you will discuss how the Cold War impacted Americans. The essay must address the following four criteria: 1.The historical and political conditions of the Cold War era. 2.The specific threats to American citizens. 3.The preparations you would make in case of an attack on U.S. soil. 4.Conclude with one question for further study on the Cold War era.

When completing this assignment, be sure to use APA style, including the following components:  1 ½ pages to 2 pages in length.  In addition have a separate cover page and reference page,  Double space, #12 font, and 1 inch margins on all sides,  A minimum of three references, including the course materials..

 Start by reading Chapter 2 in Farber’s Age of Great Dream.  Find some outside materials such as period news reels, magazine articles, or government documents to support your ideas and cite them in your essay with APA format. not  Include a minimum of three references, including the course materials. Please remember to not use Wikipedia, encyclopedias, and encyclopedia-type sources (answers.com, infoplease.com and such).  Check the Unit 2 Assignment Rubric located in the course syllabus to ensure that you have included and answered all the required parts of this assignment.  Your essay should be 1 ½ - 2 pages in length.  Double spaced, #12 font –Times New Roman, 1” margins on all sides  Separate cover page and reference page
