 Start, maintain, and end a conversation.  Include a myriad of topics.  Ask questions & answer questions.  Create both specific and general questions.  Elaborate on your responses, including details and complex sentences.  Use GUSTAR & SER forms correctly.  Describe yourself & others.  Express your likes & dislikes.  Make connections to seasons and weather.

 I’ll project different questions in English.  You and your partner try to ask and answer the target question.  I’ll instruct you to switch partners once in a while.  Speak only in Spanish the entire time. NO ENGLISH ZONE!

 Hello!  What’s up?  What’s your name?  How do you spell that?  Nice to meet you.

 How old are you?  What time is it?  What day is it?  What’s the date today?  What’s the weather like?  Is it cold?

 What are you like?  What aren’t you like?  Are you sporty?  Are you more patient or impatient?  According to your family, what are you like?

 What is your brother like?  What are your parents like?  Are you friends hardworking?  Is your mom more impatient or patient?  What are you and your friends like?

 What do you like to do?  What don’t you like to do?  Do you like to dance?  In the winter, when it’s cold, do you like to ski?  What do you like to do in the summer?  Do you like to swim when it’s hot?

 What does your mom like to do?  Does your dad like to run?  Do your friends like to play videogames?  What do your siblings like to do?  Do your friends like to watch Netflix in the winter when it’s cold and snowy?

 Practice a complete conversation with your partner.  Get the evidence sheet & complete heading.  Practice once more.  Get the recorder & Post-It note.  Complete the evidence in 10 minutes.  Sit quietly while others finish.

 Let’s finish up Unit 2:  Get out your “I can” Statements  Do your final reflection via circling.  Do your ATL assessment on the back & make sure to include a sentence “…because…” for reasoning.  Get out your “Spanish 1 Unit Portfolio” for the unit.  Turn everything into Sra. Moore.
