Tuesday – February 24, 2015 Mr. Lombardi Do Now: copy the domain-specific vocabulary 1.Tojo Hideki: Japanese army officer who initiated the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and who assumed dictatorial control of Japan during WWII. 2.Nanjing massacre: the Japanese committed a series of atrocities against innocent civilians, including mass execution. 3.island-hopping: the American strategy to capture certain key islands until American forces were in control of the pacific. 4.kamikaze: a Japanese aircraft loaded with explosives & making a deliberate suicidal crash on an enemy target.
