 Titans were the children of Heaven and Earth.  Cronus and the other Titans were defeated by Zeus (Cronus’ son). Many just took a lower place, Cronus fled to Italy. (Believed that this spread the Golden Age in Italy)  The titans then had children (the 12 Olympians) who overthrew them and were very important in Greek and Roman life.

 The Creation Stories  Stories about the birth of other gods or entities  Leto (Phoebe & Coeus) The Muses (Zeus and Mnemosyne)  Their children and grandchildren made up basically every story though.

 Chaos Night and Erebus Love Night & Day. Earth appears and Heaven.  Heaven and Earth create monsters, and then to the Titans. Cronus kills Heaven, leaving the Titans to rule, and the blood of Heaven creates giants and the Furies.

 Cronus finds out one of his children are suppose to kill him.  To prevent this, he ate each one. His wife Rhea hides one child. (Zeus)  He grows up, makes Cronus vomit up his siblings unites against the Titans with his siblings, the monsters, and Prometheus.

 Zeus and his group wins.  They either imprison or punish the Titans.  Atlas has to bear the weight of the world on his shoulders.  Others are imprisoned. Except for Prometheus  Prometheus is later chained to a rock and have an eagle pick at him for helping mankind, after he helped make them with his brother Epimetheus.
