Storage/Display  "ArcGIS Metadata" format (new at 9.4)  Importers/Exporters supported  No CSDGM export at release; planned post release by download from ESRI website

ArcGIS 9.4 Beta Testing  USGS is participating in beta testing  Current version Beta 1, Beta 2 in Jan '10  Beta program is much more open then before, participation is encouraged

Questions from FGDC for ESRI 1. Is ArcGIS 9.4 Metadata format open XML to allow access without ESRI software? 2. Are extension elements (like Biology CSDGM metadata extensions) supported?  Questions have been passed on to Aleta Vienneau at ESRI.
