The Church of Scotland Presbytery of Edinburgh Finance Committee Use of the Presbytery Allowance (5% of Ministry & Mission) Timing Proposed Ministry & Mission figures are announced at September Presbytery and appeals invited before mid – October. Appeals are only accepted for Fabric and/or Mission projects. Successful appeals and reductions for low income congregations are announced at November Presbytery. Presbytery has until the following September to disburse the remainder of the allowance.

The Church of Scotland Presbytery of Edinburgh Finance Committee 2016 and onward The allowance is now 5% of Ministry & Mission (£226,000) BUT will not necessarily continue at that level. The additional allowance creates opportunities BUT it’s use is subject to this year’s General Assembly and the Presbytery Plan.
