Higher Education Coordinating Council Business & Industry Independent Colleges & Universities Commission for Independent Education (DOE) Department of Education Florida College System (DOE) State University System Higher Education Coordinating Council The Higher Education Coordinating Council makes recommendations to the Legislature, the State Board of Education, and the Board of Governors regarding the State’s unmet educational needs and facilitates solutions to disputes regarding the creation of new degree programs, institutes, campuses, or centers.
