Big hairy monsters, just the stuff of legend, right?

But that is not according to Richard Freeman.

Richard Freeman It’s his fourth Sumatran expedition (苏门 答腊探险). On September Discovering the Indonesian island’s most mysterious (神秘的) creature.

Richard spoke to locals who claimed to have seen the beast, and found footprints and hair samples. Since the first Western sighting (看见) in 1918 by a boy, many explorers have made similar discoveries.

Richard and his intrepid (勇猛的) team from the Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) in Devon, UK, found something new. They found something had torn a log away. But it wasn’t a bear! There was a print in mud (泥), the hand print.

Richard believed that was a handprint of Orang Pendek. But after that, Richard and his team ( Chris Clarke, Adam Davies, Dave Archer ) didn’t find the Pendek.

Richard Freeman also began a zoology (动物系) degree at Leeds University. But in 2000, he decided to work for the CFZ full-time after with the narrow focus of the course.

Richard’s first big monster hunt was for the Naga. Naga- an 18.2m snake as thick as a barrel. When the TV company Bang Production asked him to investigate (调查) recent sightings in the Mekong River, he couldn’t find the monster.

But it didn’t put him off, he has been seraching the local death and water tiger in Mongolian desert and Guyana.
