 Tulsa is nestled in the northeastern quadrant of Oklahoma, right in the heart of "Green Country." The rolling green hills and wooded terrain of the city lies at an elevation of 700 feet above sea level and offers a temperate climate. Tulsans enjoy 227 days of sunshine a year and an average daily temperature of 61 degrees. The rainfall average is approximately 40 inches, and continually changing conditions occur in the city during all four seasons.

 Tulsa, one of "America's Most Livable Communities," is known as the Mecca for arts in Oklahoma. Art deco masterpieces are prevalent in many of our downtown buildings and churches.  Ten higher education facilities serve the metropolitan Tulsa area. Options range from community college and vocational studies to undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs at both public and private universities.

 Oklahoma City is the capital and largest city of the state of Oklahoma. The county seat of Oklahoma County,[8] the city ranks 27th among United States cities in population.  Oklahoma City was settled on April 22,1889, when the area known as the "Unassigned Lands" was opened for settlement in an event known as "The Land Run". Some 10,000 homesteaders settled the area that would become the capital of Oklahoma.

 The land that is present-day Oklahoma was first settled by prehistoric American Indians including the Clovis BCE, Folsom BCE and Plainview BCE cultures. The City of Lawton is located in Southwest Oklahoma, in Comanche County, 90 miles southwest of Oklahoma City on Interstate 44. The Fort Sill Army post is located just to the north and adjacent to Lawton, and is part of the Lawton community.

 Lawton was founded August 6, 1901, when the last of the Indian lands in the Oklahoma Territory, the Kiowa-Comanche-Apache reservation
