My husband’s name is Anthony and my daughter’s name is Brooke. I teach Microsoft courses, Accounting, and Computer Science Principles This is my 12 th year teaching and third year at THS!!
I graduated from Athens High School. I received my Bachelor of Business Administration from Athens State University. I received my Master of Business Administration from Alabama A & M University. I received my Doctorate of Business Administration from Argosy University. I am a big Alabama Football fan! ROLL TIDE!! I love to shop and spend time with family!!
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Accounting is a one-credit course designed to provide students with the basic principles of the accounting cycle. This course provides the basic of financial accounting including analyzing and recording business transactions, preparing and interpreting financial statements, demonstrating generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and performing banking and payroll activities.
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to ….. Define accounting terminology. Explore career and entrepreneurial opportunities in accounting. Analyze and record business transactions in a manual and computerized environment. Complete the accounting cycle. Prepare financial statements. Apply accounting concepts related to cash and payroll, receivables, payables, inventory and plant assets.
USB Flash Drive (not required, but highly recommended) Folder with pockets and prongs Composition or notebook Loose leaf paper (go ahead and put in your binder) Headphones/Earbuds Pen/Pencil-bring one EVERY DAY!

No food or drink in the computer lab. Throw ALL trash away in the trash cans— do not shove things in the desk. Keep backpacks underneath your feet.

When you come to class every day, be seated and logged in to the computer when the bell rings. Follow class rules for electronic/cell phone usage. Always follow THS and Alabaster City Schools rules pertaining to behavior, dress code, make-up work, attendance, etc.
Class I violations will be handled with a warning, followed by a phone call to parents, loss of classroom privileges, seat assignment or discipline assignments. Any student committing a Class II, III or IV offense will be sent immediately to the office and parents will be contacted. In other words, know the expectations for my class, follow them, and we’ll all get along just fine

When you log in at the beginning of class, the first thing you should do is log in to Edmodo. Keep your username and password somewhere safe where you can refer to it daily, if needed!
