Plastic recycling at Blackstone By: Project Earth CIP

What's happening? O The Project Earth CIP class has decided to start recycling plastic bottles and cans! O If we are able to recycle correctly this is something we can do at Blackstone forever!

Why are we doing this? O There have been many requests for Blackstone to start recycling plastic bottles and cans. O We want to increase our recycling and become a more eco-friendly school.

What are we recycling? We will be recycling the following items: O Plastic bottles O Jars O Glass bottles O Aluminum cans O Tin cans O Iced coffee cups

How do we recycle our bottles & cans? O Before recycling your plastic bottles and cans into the bin, please makes sure that you have emptied and rinsed them off first. O Otherwise the recyclables will become dirty and attract flies, which is nasty!

Where do we recycle our bottles & cans? O The recycling bin will be next to the students’ bathroom. O So it will be easy for you to empty and rinse out the bottles and cans!

Milk Carton Reminder O Friendly reminder that Blackstone does not recycle milk cartons. O So please do not throw the cartons in any of the recycling bins. O It’s really nasty to clean up!

On behalf of the Project Earth CIP we would like to thank Gilbert for making plastic recycling at Blackstone possible!

Any Questions?
