CAM Syllabus Complementary & Alternative Medicine 101 This course will serve as an introduction to complementary & alternative medicine. This class will be dedicated to understanding the major categories of both medicine fields. It will cover a general explanation of CAM, then progress into complementary health approach where natural products are broken down. The alternative medicine covers in depth the mind & body, manipulative body-based practices. The most popular practices that America has delved into over the last few decades.  General Information Three classes: September 11, 18, 25 (Wednesdays) 6:30-8:00 PM Cost: Free Instructor: Emily Bernhardt Web site:  Course Prerequisites: None  Recommended Materials: Laptop with the ability for WIFI access.  Grading Scale: TBD

CAM Syllabus Course Objectives  1. To understand the basics of complementary and alternative medicine  2. To understand the differences between complementary vs. alternative  3. To learn specific approaches and understand their use  4. To learn some of the safety concern related to the approach.  5.
