Prepositions Def. A word that relates a noun or pronoun to another word in the sentence. It is a “matchmaker.”

Prepositions join nouns/pronouns to the rest of the sentence.

THE OBJECT OF THE PREPOSITION. The noun or pronoun that the preposition is matching to the sentence is called…. THE OBJECT OF THE PREPOSITION.

Identify the prepositions & objects: Central Park, one of America’s first landscaped parks, was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux.
