Unit 1 - Lesson 1 Keyboarding Posture 3 KEYBOARDING POSTURE Many people think using a computer and keyboard is completely safe, regardless of their posture.

Unit 1 - Lesson 1 Keyboarding Posture 4 SYMPTOMS OF POOR KEYBOARDING POSTURE Improper keyboarding posture can produce strain to your eyes, elbows, arms, wrists, hands and fingers.

Unit 1 - Lesson 1 Keyboarding Posture 5 ARE YOU AT RISK? Areas at risk while sitting improperly include your neck, back, and shoulders.

Unit 1 - Lesson 1 Keyboarding Posture 8 PERFECT POSTURE Center the front of your body to the keyboard (directly in front of the “J” key).  Your elbows should be close to your sides.  Make sure both feet are on the floor.

Unit 1 - Lesson 1 Keyboarding Posture 9 THE PERFECT POSTURE Forearms and hands should be approximately parallel to the floor. Maintain a comfortable distance from the keyboard.
