Escalating Health Care Costs In this Unit, we will discuss the current financial picture of the health care system in the United States. We will discuss the rising health care costs and the reasons for them, declining quality of care, attempts to control costs, the problem of the rising number of uninsured patients, and the ethical implications of cost control.
