raging – adj. very active and unpredictable

survey - n. an inspection or investigation

opposing – adj. opposite; completely different

prediction – n. the act of telling something before it happens

severe – adj. very serious; dangerous

stovepipe – n. a thin pipe connected to a stove that direct smoke or fumes out of an area

spiraling – v. moving in the shape fo the spiral

inspiration – n. the stirring of the mind, feelings, or imagination

alert – adj. awake and prepared to act

satellite – adj. from a spacecraft that move in an orbit around Earth that is used to help predict the weather

supercells – n. plural of supercell; the strongest type of thunderstorm
