Henry Moseley ● Born November 23, 1887 in Weymouth England

Henry's Discoveries ● In 1913 at the University of Manchester, Henry published the results of his x-ray spectra. ● His discoveries resulted in a more accurate positioning of the elements in the periodic table. He proved that every elements identity is determined by the number of protons. He confidently predicted the existence of 4 new chemical elements. He created the worlds first atomic battery called radium battery.

Periodic Table

4 Random Facts ● He was killed in action at Gallipoli in 1915 ● His father was an anatomy and philosophy professor ● At 18 he won Eton's Physics and Chemistry prize. ● He got a second class honors degree in Physics.
