Navy Exchange, MWR, and Commissary Customer Appreciation Weekend: Sept 18 th & 19 th Sponsored by Ford, Lincoln, ENCS and Subway.
The Buildup! zWe wanted to get more Exposure to the Yokosuka community by doing sign ups and allowing us to get in font of as many prospect as possible by finding out when they are going back stateside and asking if they had ever received information on the benefits of purchasing a vehicle from Exchange New Car Sales. The event also allowed us to strengthen our relationship with our local navy exchange by allowing us to work towards a common goal.
The Weekend Gets Started! zNEX,MWR, and DECA were the main organizers of the event. zCustomer Appreciation Weekend was the title of event. zThe event was held on the red brick courtyard in front of DECA and NEX. zThe dates it was held was on the 18 th and 19 th of September 2011
Live Bands and Free FORD T-shirts! zIn getting more exposure to the members of our community it allowed us to build a relationship with our community so that we will be more approachable to them in the future which will result in higher penetration levels in sales in the future.
Building Relationships zOne of the big contributing factors to the success of this event for us was the ability for us to set up in locations that we normally don’t have access to. The base Auto port and Main St. Food Court were two great places we aren’t normally able to set up at. zAllowing us to create more excitement at our prospecting locations/tables allowed us to induce their curiosity a lot earlier. This will result in more deliveries because they are more likely to get exactly what they want instead of having to choose from our limited stock inventory at the last minute. zGiving Exchange New Car Sales and the NEX a chance to work towards a common goal allowed them to get a better understanding on what our goals and strengths are. Enhancing our relationship with our NEX will allows us to approach them in the future with new prospecting ideas and having those ideas become reality. zWe were in the local base media publications as well.
Our MC & Contestants zThe Customer Appreciation weekend was a huge success. We had a very large turnout, and were in front of a lot of prospects. After the event our Service Operations Manager came to our office and expressed his gratitude for our professionalism and perseverance. He said that not only was he happy, our entire NEX management team was impressed from not only our ability to pull off an event that large, but also our Master of Ceremonies skills on stage. Our ERM did a great job. zSeptember has been the best sales month we have had for some time. Although there have been other contributing factors that have helped, taking the signups 4 weeks leading up to the event played a big part to our success.
Trying Out Their Keys … zSome things could have been done differently although the event was a huge success. We will ensure next year to make announcements through out the day saying when the signups will end. Also we will try not to be the event that goes on last. Because when you go last you end up having to deal with the other events that went over their time limit. zWe should do this again next year. Not only does the event give us a huge shining moment in the community, but it also gives a shining moment to our NEX which gives us their appreciation for what we do. Proving to the NEX that we have the professionalism and respect that is expected when interacting with our service members goes a long way in establishing a long lasting profitable relationship with our NEX.
