TABLETS Tablets are a great way to provide alternative learning methods to students. They can view iBooks which make reading much more interesting – this allows the student to engage better than when reading a regular textbook.

TABLETS CONTINUED… Benefits: visually appealing layout, sharp images, less text = all components that will engage students. Hands-on opportunities: quizzes, surveys, table of contents, built-in dictionary, etc. The fact that the student can click on any page with ease is more interactive = they’re more engaged.

BLOGS Blogs are a great way to interact with students on a more organized and personal level. The students can also access the information at home!

BLOGS CONTINUED… Usage ideas: Adding lesson plans, class material related photos, assignment calendar, etc.

PRESENTATION TOOLS If we’re being honest, PowerPoint is so yesterday. There are more interesting tools to use to present basic information to students that will captivate their attention more effectively. Examples: Prezi, Fuze, emaze. PowToon, etc.
