The Water Cycle Delearse Joy

Content Area: Science Grade Level: 4 th Summary: The purpose of this instructional PowerPoint is to have students to understand the water cycle with 100% accuracy. Learning Objective: Content Standard: GLE Recognize the major components of the water cycle. SPI Identify the basic features of the water cycle and describe their importance to life on earth.

Definition The water cycle is the journey water takes as it circulates from the land to the sky and back again. The water cycle is the journey water takes as it circulates from the land to the sky and back again.

How it works Evaporation is heat from the Sun that causes water on Earth such as oceans and lakes to evaporate (turn from liquid into gas) and rise into the sky. This water vapor collects in the sky in the form of clouds. As water vapor in the clouds cools down it becomes water again, this process is called condensation. Water falls from the sky in the form of rain, snow, hail, or sleet, this process is called precipitation. Oceans and lakes collect water that has fallen. Water evaporates into the sky again and the cycle continues.

Importance of Water Cycle It is how the Earth’s water recycles itself. It is how the Earth’s water recycles itself. It is how water reaches plants, animals, and even humans. It is how water reaches plants, animals, and even humans. It is linked to the climate in which it involves atmosphere, oceans, and land. It is linked to the climate in which it involves atmosphere, oceans, and land.

The water cycle is the journey water takes as it circulates from the land to the sky and back again.  True True  False False

Correct! Good Job!

The water cycle is important because A. Rain drops are tear shaped. A. Rain drops are tear shaped. B. It is how water reaches, animals, plants, and even humans. B. It is how water reaches, animals, plants, and even humans. C. It is how the Earth’s water recycles itself. C. It is how the Earth’s water recycles itself. D. Both B and C. D. Both B and C.

Correct! That is absolutely right!

Condensation is water coming out of air. True True True False False False

Correct! Yes, this is actually true.

Conclusion You now know the basics and major components of the water cycle. Here’s a link to further test yourself on the water cycle. nce/ecosystems/water- cycle.htm nce/ecosystems/water- cycle.htm

Oh Man! It seems your answer is not correct. Try again.
