HOMESCHOOL VS. ONLINE LEARNING   A personal experience from a student who was homeschooled and took online learning classes

ONLINE LEARNING  Encourages outside learning  “springboard away from the machines”  Online learning is not supposed to be their online course work  In 2019 more than half of high school courses will be online

Looks at the increase in college students interest in online education number-of-college-students-choose-online-courses/stories/

GOOD ONLINE STUDENT  Motivation to succeed  Self-discipline  Independent worker  Support from parents

MOTIVATION TO SUCCEED  Willingness to learn  Making the effort to participate in class  Not just looking for the “A”

SELF-DISCIPLINE AND RESPONSIBILITY  They chose when they are prepared to do the work  Not limited to a specific time period  Take as much time as they need on tasks
