Introduction I will like to teach you an aspect that I find interesting: Rhythm Rhythm is the variation of the length and accentuation of a series of sounds. It is used in all sorts of songs, literature and especially, poems.

Rhythm in Poetry  Poetry uses many kinds of forms and conventions including Rhythm, to suggest alternative meanings and to also produce sensual responses. In a poem Rhythm is used to produce musical incantatory effects. It is formed by the repetition of stressed and unstressed syllables.

Examples “The congo” by Vachel Lindsay Fat black bucks in a wine-barrel room Barrel-house kings, with feet unstable, Sagged and reeled and pounded on the table, Pounded on the table, Beat an empty barrel with the handle of a broom, Hard as they were able Boom, boom, BOOM, With a silk umbrella and the handle of a broom, Boomlay, boomlay, boomlay, BOOM.

Continued  If you read the poem a few times, you will feel a certain feeling and beat. People sometimes repeat the lines or use rhyming words to emphasize rhythm. EX: Barrel-house kings, with feet unstable, Sagged and reeled and pounded on the table, Pounded on the table,

Why I personally like Rhythm I personally like Rhythm because it makes poems and literature much more interesting. Moreover, It produces more depth into each of the words. I also like it because rhythm makes it sound more like music. I enjoy listening to music because it makes different feelings and moods due to the rhythm,.
