1.Business Background Since the 1990s, economic growth rate are falling in Thailand,but there is still around 8% During the 1970 and 2008, annual volume of export kept bringing about 20% growth.

2.Decision Making Style  Thai’s decision making style is a combination of intuitive style and rational style.  Rational: pros and cons, sensible, logical option.  Intuitive: This model does not depend on reason and logic. The choice is reached usually by an intuitive 'knowing' of what the best answer is.

 Private relationship is the key to a successful business, so Thai’s decision making style more focuses on intuitive style.

Foreigners are expected to be punctual, but do not expect Thais to be on time. Whenever possible, avoid scheduling meetings after 3:30 pm. First meetings should be held in offices, restaurants, or hotel lobbies. Business cards are always exchanged at the first meeting. Begin initial meetings with casual conversation on such topics as your travels, the beauties of Thailand, and your counterpart's overseas experiences. 3.Meeting Style

What to Wear  DO dress stylishly and modestly. Keep your attire neat and clean!  DO wear nice pants and a nice shirt with or without a tie, if you are a man attending a business function. Business  DO be subtle. Directness doesn't always go over well.  DO expect to be addressed by your title and first name, i.e. Mr. Bob. This isn't to be rude or disrespectful.
