Civil War Amendments

What the Amendments Protect 13 th : Abolished Slavery. 14 th : Gave citizenship to all people born in America, regardless of race. 15 th : Gave every male citizen in America the right to vote, regardless of race.

When the Amendments were Passed 13 th : January th : June th : February 1869

Men have more rights than women? Under the 14 th and 15 th amendments, the men in America had more rights than the women. This is true because in the 14 th amendment, it states that if any state denies a man of his rights, they will lose part of their representation in Congress. Also, in the 15 th amendment, it states that only the men have the right to vote. So over all, the government wasn’t giving the women protection of their rights as much as they were for the men.
