Mars Rover

Robot Functions Panoramic data with a Pancam Mini-TES Scientist select the targets to study Measure using tools on its arm called IID Sensors called Hazcam Sensors called Hazcam Uses camera that shows the work area and checks to make sure the work area is safe to work in. The mars rover is a piece of technology that the military uses to find and get samples from mars to bring back to the earth and see if they can find any types of life on mars. This robot rides around mars, (somewhere we can’t go) and it also lets us see what it is doing on mars because it has cameras.

Robotic Abilities Twelve moving degrees of freedom Wheels can move around to turn the vehicle Pancam can move around Arm that holds the Hazcam Moves around View workspace working in.

Robot Programming Expensive Remote controlled car with great suspension Camera attached to the front 20-minute delay on camera Missions at beginning of sol(day on Mars) Day to day tasks

Robot Sensors Robot Sensors laser analyze the rocks. cameras so the military can see what the robot is doing Inside the rover it has a complete analysis compartment to analyze the rocks and soil.

Robot Advantages We cannot send a human to do the full job the controllers of Rover can only rely on what is shown through the camera There is no eye descriptions and or opinions from an actual person There is no eye descriptions and or opinions from an actual person just pictures and videos just pictures and videos Advantage is that NASA and other administrations don’t have to spend extra money on sending a human to mars with proper supplies.

Robot Impacts It give NASA an idea of what the planet mars is like, although no person can go there, rover sends images and information of mars although no person can go there, rover sends images and information of mars

Job Creations Many engineers would be needed to build the Mars Rover A Principal Electrical Engineer an Engineering Technician an Engineering Technician a Procurement Manager a Procurement Manager a Testing Engineering Manager a Testing Engineering Manager a Software Engineer a Software Engineer a Supplier Quality Engineer a Project Analyst a Project Analyst a Quality Engineer a Quality Engineer a Program Engineer a Program Engineer a Financial Planning Analyst a Financial Planning Analyst and some more. and some more.

Alterations? The Mars Rover in the future get back to earth Engineers will need to figure out how to get the rover back to earth for further investigation of the content from Mars. Engineers will need to figure out how to get the rover back to earth for further investigation of the content from Mars.

Thanks for Listening Hopefully nobody got too bored! Hope you’ve learned something new about the mars over
