1) Identify the New Freedom and who championed it? –Wilson- Gov. idea was to break up monopolies, support small business’ (take Progressivism even further) 2) What were several of TR’s ideas that were shared with Herbert Croly? Roosevelt- New Nationalism- regulate industry, support workers (minimum wage, workers compensation, women's suffrage, limit workday and week) –All these ideas are part of out society today

3) What made the campaign of 1912 so unique? –Third political party (Bull Moose- TR’s party he started after he lost Rep. nomination) was competitive (and 4 th showed up) Eugene Debs- Socialist Party- Government should control major industries and share the wealth ( won 6% of vote) Result- Wilson (Dem) won 42% of vote, TR (Bull Moose Party) 27%, Taft (Rep) 23%
