February 6, 1986 I was born on the morning of this day I was born into a loving interracial family. I was the last child of five children which consists of one boy and four girls. (this was me at the hospital. the picture was retouched for a family reunion.)

Family of Five This picture was taken at church when I was 2 years old. It funny how you can tell a person personality in a picture. I have been told I was yelling at my mother because she was standing to close to my father when this picture was taken. I true daddy’s girl from the start. ( The one looking away is me.)

I was an overall happy child who liked to play and was spoiled rotten from being the baby of the family. I enjoyed playing in the sprinklers in the summer, going to the park, and sledding in the winter. (I’m the one smiling really big.)

The year was 1995 Not only did my parents divorce during this year, we also made a drastic move to Las Vegas, Nevada also known as sin city. Probably wasn’t a good decision on my mothers part. I starting lashing out at her for everything. Once I hit my teens, I become the typical moody, angry teenage girl but times ten!!!!

Probably shouldn’t show this picture but it was during one my teenage mood swings because somebody ate my candy. Yep I’m crying but out of anger.

Graduating High School 2004 Unlike most kids who have graduation pictures, I do not. I choose to finish school by testing out. Yes I received a diploma but not your normal high school diploma. It was tough for me during my high school years. I made really bad decisions and if I could back I would do everything over again. But to add to the mixture, just shortly after high school I found I was pregnant with my first child. It was a wake up call for me because I knew my life had to change from this moment on.

2012 My daughter Kaitlyn was born into my family of my son and I. She was unexpected and breath taking. She was born with a Congenital Heart Defect. She had open heart surgery when she was four days old. This shocked me to my core. I couldn’t believe that this was happening and for a minute the angry teenager surfaced then I remembered that life is about living and taking it situation and making it worth something. I learned to take everyday as if it were her last and enjoy every moment with them. They are what I live for in the present and the future. I am back in school and getting my degree because I want them to have a good role model and lifestyle. Without these two I don’t know if I would be the person I am today.
