Photo Manipulation The lighting on the sandwich makes it seem brighter and more perfect. It helps accent the ingredients in the sandwich as well as they are clearly stacked so everything is visible. By bringing up the brightness of the picture, the sandwich seems more radiant and more appealing for the customer to buy. The layering of all the ingredients is more spread out in layers so you see all the healthy vegetables inside making it seem healthy when it isn’t particularly good for you as it shows in the real sandwich. Using raw ingredients makes the food seem more perfect and more appetizing e.g. the bread seems better but that is only because it is not cooked By layering the ingredients on top of each other the sandwich looks much bigger with more ingredients inside. The whitened bites of bread make the sandwich seem cooked/toasted which makes it look better. The whitened ham helps make it seems smoked/roasted.

Analysis Two photoshoped techniques used in this image are lighting and the background juiciness of the meatballs. The lighting made the whole plate of food seem brighter and fresher. Like it had just been cooked. It helped bring out the richness of each ingredient, even the peas and carrots as they seem so healthy. Adding a background also increased the brightness of the food. The nice sunny day with the green hill again makes the food seem healthier as it adds to the green theme. A as it has been photoshoped to be blurred it means they can make the packaging focus a small amount on the brand name. By making it seem healthy it makes it seem appealing to the audience. The use of a clean white plate instead of warming up the ready meal and leaving it in the packaging which would not improve the look of the product. Also using this plate makes the food seem like it’s been served in a restaurant. This creates a positive impression of the product because it makes it look more professional instead of what you actually get in the pot/container.
