The Arabian Peninsula Islam- is a monotheistic religion based on the teachings of its founder, the Prophet Muhammad.

Muhammad is the founder of Islam and lived most of his life in the trading city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Muslims- The Dome of the Rock houses the spot where Muslims believe the Prophet Muhammad rose into heaven.

Five Pillars of Islam 1.Profession of Faith “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah” "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." [Qur'an 48:29]Qur'an

2. Ritual Prayer- Pray 5 times a day facing Mecca.

3. Alms giving- donate or give to the poor & needy

4. Fasting- Fast during the holy month called Ramadan

5. Pilgrimage- travel to the city of Mecca, which is to be made at least once by every Muslim. The Black Stone is considered by Muslims to have descended from Heaven as the symbol of the covenant made between God and Adam and his progeny.
