Military OperationWater Quality Operation An Observation  Strategic- objectives, goals  Analytics- data on threats  Planning- evaluating data and developing strategies  Implementation- technical skill  Needed Resources- personnel, planes, maps, sophisticated equipment, technical execution  Strategic- objectives, goals  Analytics- data on threats  Planning- evaluating data and developing strategies  Implementation- technical skill  Needed Resources- personnel, GIS maps, GIS models, technical execution

Important Ideas  In the environmental field, one organization does not do it all.  Do you understand the models and how they can be utilized at different levels?  Do you understand cooperation at different levels?

Who is the MHB?

What are the MHB Strategies?  The MHB is working to coordinate and collaborate with state agency, local professionals, and key stakeholders to protect the first 400 miles of the Mississippi River.  Coordinating the watershed work with the Upper Mississippi organizations outside the corridor to protect the Mississippi River.  Providing context and connecting for organizations in the Upper Mississippi River basin.- Could MHB be a conduit for your programs?

How is the MHB providing context and connection?  By writing a 2015 LSOHC proposal that prioritizes, targets, and measures progress on the Mississippi river.  By writing a Clean Water Fund proposal for storm water planning and prioritization.  What are some ideas that you have? Currently: 113 catchments Now: 56 catchments
