Presentation transcript:

Smooth ER We choose regular gummy worms for the smooth ER, because they can stretch along the nucleus on the side, just like a real smooth ER would. The function of the Smooth ER is to transport materials. Jasmine Thompson

Rough ER We choose sour Gummy worms for the rough ER, because they are just like the smooth ER (regular gummy worms) but they have ribosomes, which count as the sour part on the gummy worms. The function of the Rough ER is to transport materials around the cell. Jasmine Thompson

Ribosomes We choose skittles, because they are quite small compared to the rest of the items we picked, just like ribosomes in a regular plant cell. The function of ribosomes is to make protein. Jasmine Thompson

Cytoskeleton We choose black licorice for the cytoskeleton, because it is long, and can reach out to the other candies, just like a a cytoskeleton does to the rest of the cell parts. The function of the cytoskeleton is to support the cell. Jasmine Thompson
