Characteristics Evaluate looks at perceptions of the school against 11 key characteristics, including: –school leadership –learning and teaching –behaviour and discipline –staff and pupil performance

Who is involved? All staff Governors Parents/carers Pupils

How does it work? Each individual respondent completes a questionnaire online Password system for confidentiality Can be completed in half an hour for staff and minutes for all the other groups Detailed reports for each group sent to the school in confidence

An overview An extra report comparing the responses of all the groups involved: –staff –governors –parents/carers –pupils

Keep track Use the Evaluate service again after 12 months Monitor progress against any action plan Demonstrate improvement Pay only half price
