What is it?  Have you ever: looked around your church, ministry or community, identified a need, thought, “Hmmm, I wonder if there oughta be a ____ to help meet that need?” These thoughts emerge from our observation of the living system. © 2012 Emmanuel Gospel Center

For example  “I wonder if there oughta be a space in our church for moms to change their infants?” or  “I wonder if there oughta be a church started in this neighborhood?” or  “I wonder if there oughta be a church website so people can find us online?” © 2012 Emmanuel Gospel Center

Why is it useful?  These thoughts emerge from what we are learning about the living system.  Almost invariably, these thoughts are exactly what the living system is “asking” you to do.  If you apply some faith and prayer to these thoughts, you may discover that this is what God wants, too. © 2012 Emmanuel Gospel Center

What do you do with this thought?  Pray and ask God what he thinks  Talk to others in your church or ministry, and see if they resonate with the idea  Do some initial applied research about the idea to see if it is really needed  Be willing to let go, if this is not God’s purpose or his timing © 2012 Emmanuel Gospel Center
