The pupils and teachers of (year5)E1 & E2 of Pefkios Georgiades Primary School turned into professional reporters and they are glad to present the Hot Spots of their school’s district “STROVOLOS”

Activity 1: Walking and taking photos around Old and New Strovolos  We visited the old and new Municipal Halls  Then we had a look at the old and modern Primary Schools  Next step were the old and modern churches  Finally we had a look at the surrounding environment and as it was Christmas time we visited one of the oldest nursing homes and we sang carols for the elderly citizens of Strovolos.

Activity 2: We used the photos taken and in our IT and English Lessons we were divided in to groups and we created posters and a movie to present our Hot spots. Municipal Halls (Old-New) Churches(Old-New) Primary Schools (Old-New) Surrounding Environment

Activity 3: In our Art Lesson we are going to create a 3D collage using different resources and our photos to represent Strovolos. Activity 4: We will exchange all our work with our Partners in Italy and Barcelona. Activity 5: We are planning to work on the work we are going to receive from our partners in our Art, English and IT lessons, to create collages, posters e.t.c

Activity 6: After a thorough study of Andy Goldwothy’s work, we are going to spend a whole day at the linear park of Strovolos and with the garbage we are going to collect and other useless waste from the Pedios river we are going to create three dimensional creations on the spot to decorate the natural environment.
