* The scientific name for a Giraffe is a Giraff Cameloperdails * Live up to 25 years * There are many types of giraffes, such as a Somali Giraffe or West African Giraffe * IT’S NOT ENDANGERED

* 19 feet tall * 16 feet long * Weigh up to 1,750 to 2,800 pounds * 15 inch tongue * Horns * Tail * Small head * Purple tongue * Really big nose

* Long ears * Black feet called hooves * Long legs * Hair down their neck like a horse’s mane * Big eyes * tan with brown spots * Bark black hump on top of there head

* 40 to 70 degrees * Ten inches of rain a year * Deciduous forest * Savannas dry open wood lands * Live near water holes and rivers * Active at night during cool weather * Rain in summer * Wood lands

* Grasslands/savannahs * Giraffes have been found in Africa, Europe and Asia * But, today they are only found in Africa
