STRATEGIC PLAN IMPERATIVE 1 – Meet the needs and expectations of today’s families by expanding and diversifying NSC programs, partnering with the current generation of parents and engaging our increasingly diverse community. IMPERATIVE 2 – Make the NSC volunteer experience more rewarding, accessible and well supported. IMPERATIVE 3 – Enhance NSC’s role as a key player and critical partner in youth development (leadership and life-skills) within our communities. 1

STRATEGIC PLAN – Year 1 Goals 1B. Become accessible to a broader cross-section of the community. 1B.II. Select 2-3 suburban and rural districts that have a very diverse community, and support them in developing and implementing ways to serve representative populations across all ethnic groups. 2A. Reduce the existing administrative burden placed on our volunteers. 2A.I.Evaluate the processes and requirements imposed by the BSA on unit and district volunteers, and begin to implement opportunities to reduce complexity. 2 Owned by District Ops Owned by District Key 3
