Why? To help students improve their performance To assist teachers in preparing students for the MAP and Terra Nova tests To aid teachers in demonstrating the relevance of the skills and concepts taught within the curriculum

In What Way? Provide an online resource for teachers to use with their students

With What? Classroom Gateway Computer TV

How? Begin Internet Explorer Enter the Internet Address: (Select MAPAttack from the list at the left)

How? Select grade level Select one of the activities listed in the Activity Index. (The activity triggers PowerPoint.)

How? Select Browse from the Menu bar, then Full Screen. Click the left mouse button to advance each step or screen. To activate a pen to draw with on the screen, right click with the mouse and select Pen.

How? To return to the Pointer, right-click the mouse and select the Arrow tool. To return to the Activity Index at the end of an activity, press the Back button on the Menu Bar.

Tips and Suggestions Have students use Journals for writing responses and for the activities Emphasize and discuss the processes used in the quest for the answers Set aside 5-15 minutes a day for each of the activities
