Acute Triangle A triangle for which all interior angles are acute.

Circle A locus of all points that are a fixed distance from a given point.

Cone A three dimensional figure with a simple base tapered to an apex.

Cube A regular polyhedron for which all faces are squares.

Cylinder A three dimensional geometric figure with parallel congruent bases.

Flip or Reflection A transformation in which a geometric figure is reflected across a line.

Horizontal Perfectly flat and level.

Kite A quadrilateral with two pairs of adjacent sides that are congruent.

Lateral Surface Area The surface area of the lateral surfaces of a solid.

Octagon A polygon with eight sides.

Ellipse A conic section which is essentially a stretched circle.

Perpendicular Lines Intersecting lines that form 90 degree angles

Pyramid A polyhedron with a polygonal base and lateral surfaces that taper to an apex.

Rectangle A box shape on a plane.

Right Triangle A triangle which has a right (90 degree) interior angle.

Semi Circle Half of a circle that has a 180 degree arc.
