Tin Foil Capacitor A capacitor is an electrical component that stores charge. Whilst you’re watching the demo, write down some more facts on capacitors on your whiteboards. Now write these up in your notes…

Capacitance Capacitance is defined as the charge stored per unit voltage. It is measured in Farads. What is the equation for capacitance? C=Q/V Symbol for capacitor

Pick the most challenging question…and answer it! Capacitors are the most important electrical component. Do you agree or disagree? And why? The equation for capacitance is C = Q/V, why? Are capacitors found in these? Back up power supplies, AC to DC converters, lights, TV tuning circuits (the circuit that allows you to change channel)
