 The purpose of this project is to create a financial planning and saving system based on PayPal for college students, as well as student organizations (fraternities, residence halls, etc.). Given the relative inexperience of most students during their first years away from home, a free, intuitive web service to help manage finances would be very helpful.

Retrieval of bills from PayPal through PayPal’s API Addition of non-PayPal bills manually. Sorting of bills by type, category, and date Graphing feature to provide a visual representation of user’s spending. Allocation of a personal budget to different expenses. Client-Server Architecture Hosted with Apache HTTP Server. Database is in MySQL, and pages are written in PHP and AJAX.

Step to follow: 1. Register for a new account 2. Login in and add bills 3. Sort the bills 4. Retrieve bills using you PayPal 5. View the pie chart 6. Allocate your spending for this month

 Most users had an overall easy experience with our system.  Projected spending allocation page is not intuitive enough  Some users had issues sorting the bills.  On the pie graph, calendar icon should be included, like in view bills page.

 Easier to break down a large project over various sprints  Items that look small can quickly take more time than expected, so it’s best to leave buffer time
