Pictures/Graphics Pictures and graphics help us to visually see who or what the text is referring to. We can get more information about the topic when we look at a picture.

Audio/Video We can see the events take place so we gain a better understanding. Hearing others talk about the subject is also a way to gain more information because we can hear the emotion.

Timeline Timelines help us to understand the order of events. We can see how close or far apart events happened.

Maps Maps help us to see where the events took place. We can visually see locations and see what is around different locations.

Graphs Graphs help us to see numbers and percentages. This can help make them easier to understand and help us compare and contrast.

Tables Tables help us to see what objects go together. This is another way for us to see similarities and differences.

Diagrams Diagrams help break down objects or places. They will point out specific parts so we can see exactly what is being referred to.
