The emu can ran very fast when it see’s a delicious meal it can reach 40 mph. The emu is a great swimmer because of its long legs and big body.

The mom and dad breed May through August. The male emu does not sit on the eggs till 5 to 9 eggs are laid. The emu nest is shallow and is made with leave’s by a bush. The female looses 10 to 20 pounds when she lays the eggs.
The emu habitat is in Australia on grassy plain’s and dry open forest’s. The climate is warm, dry, and sunny.
