‘This is the Captain put on your oxygen masks, we are descending to a lower altitude’ Followed by either… ‘This is the Captain passengers and crew remain on oxygen’ or ‘The descent is now complete. Will the senior report to the flight deck’.

 PA’s from Flight Crew included in B1 manual  Once on oxygen Cabin Crew to shout instructions to passengers ‘put on mask, fasten seatbelts’  Expansion of Cabin Crew decompression drill to ensure that a member of crew gets on crew oxygen and enters the flight deck using the emergency code. If necessary to administer oxygen  Emergency door entry code changed  Instructions for radio operation included in the B1 Safety and Survival Manual.

Emergency use of the radio for each aircraft type.
