Collect and provide daily observations for input into decision support at all levels of government and private entities.

Network In my job for 1 ½ years Collect data on Tmax, Tmin, Precip, Snowfall, Liquid water equivalent, Snowfall rate, Soil Temperature, Evaporation Rates, River measurements Annual Budget is $1.87 M prior to taxes for equipment/ maintenance/ observations

Observations Daily via phone, internet (25%) or monthly on paper (75%) numbers are dynamic QC done at 122 local NWS Forecast Offices and other WSO stations Data sent to NCDC for more QC Bias developed for urbanization, time of observation and other effects Data published
