Bringing It Back In April 2009, the divisional planning session was held and information from SEdA Conference was shared. Two divisional goals were established for the 2009 – 2010 school year. 1.Student Engagement 2.Sustainable Development

Sustainable Development in ISD To promote new and build on existing sustainable development initiatives by: 1. Defining sustainability in the Interlake School Division 2. Assessing resources and practices already in our division 3. Developing innovative strategies to promote ESD in our division

2009 – 2010 Progress The Divisional ESD Committee developed an online staff survey (paperless) The ESD committee developed a link to our website to share all the ideas. Promotion of the divisional ESD goal to staff and students

The Divisional committee has expanded to include a volunteer representative from each of our schools. These school reps will gather information about the various projects/initiatives to share on our link

Moving Forward Interlake School Division will once again send a team to the October SEdA Conference (with representation from both administration and teachers). In November ISD is sending a team which includes student representation to the MASS Conference “Social Justice: Educating for ACTion”
