Red Book - an annotated list of rare and endangered animals, plants and fungi. Red Books are different levels - international, national and regional. The first organizational task of protecting rare and endangered species - their inventory and accounting, both globally and in individual countries. Without it, you can not begin nor to the theoretical development of the problem, nor at practical recommendations for the salvation of individual species.

Not a simple task, and even years ago [when?] First attempt to make a first regional and then global reports of rare and endangered species of animals and birds. However, the information was either too concise and contained only a list of rare species, or, conversely, very cumbersome, because it includes all the available data on the biology and outlines the historical picture of reducing their habitat.
