The Moon goes around the Earth in a circle. Phases of the Moon are the way the Sun shines on it!

What makes the Moon go around the Earth? Gravity Velocity With those two, you have an Orbit

If you drop something, without giving it any velocity, it goes DOWN.

If you throw something, it goes a ways before it falls all the way to the ground.

If you throw it harder, it goes farther before it falls all the way to the ground.

If you throw something really hard, it can go all the way around! And around, and around. You have an orbit.
