Make Time 4 Mental Health Session 2

People might judge me. It’s good to talk about mental health and understand more about it. Sounds like mental health problems can be tough. I get angry sometimes. Does that mean I have a mental health problem? Can mental health problems really happen to anyone? Surely it’s only certain types of people.

If it was a broken leg there wouldn’t be the stigma. Anyone can develop a mental health problem. Talk to a trusted adult. We all get sad or angry sometimes, negative emotions are an ordinary part of life. There are simple things we can all do to look after our mental health.

Wellbeing Exercise

Talking being open with people I trust about how I’m feeling. Exercising looking after my body, playing sport, eating healthy. Calming trying meditation, good sleep habits like turning my phone off early. Learning a new skill, a great way to gain confidence. Relating spending time with the people I care about. Contributing helping others or contributing to causes I believe in. Creating expressing myself creatively e.g. music, art, drama, writing. Congratulating being kind to myself, or listing the qualities I value in myself. Section Title8 Ways to Wellbeing
