Proposed Goal of Project Matrix “The purpose of this matrix of projects is to reflect the Chehalis River Basin Flood Authority’s priorities to provide flood relief and protection in the basin.”

Project Matrix Projects sorted into nine different sections – Floodplain Protection (includes retention, and levees/dikes – Reduction of Damage to Existing Structures – Bank Stabilization – Conveyance Capacity – Planning/Implementing and Data Collection – Education and Public Information – Emergency Response and Preparedness – Potential Flood Projects with Ecological Opportunities (includes correcting barrier culverts) – Programmatic Solutions-i.e. regulation changes, tax breaks

Project Matrix Projects may be grouped under a sub heading (“Retention Projects” or “Levees and Dikes” under Floodplain Protection) – In these cases, the project heading is numbered following the project numbering sequence. – Projects under the heading are numbered in Roman Numerals Matrix of projects is not prioritized – Meant to serve as a baseline of projects for potential future funding – Served as source material for 2012 legislative jobs package

Projects to be Removed Matrix Matrix of projects that are proposed to be removed from the Projects Matrix – Repetitive – Completed – Currently funded and on-going – Source of project unknown – No longer a priority
