 Born on December 22, 1960  He grew up in Brooklyn, New York  He was Spanish-African American  His parents were Gerard and Matilde

 Art became a way to channel anger and as empty childhood  His artwork was found out through Manhattan by the time he was 16  Jean-Michel was 18 when he approached Geldzahler and Andy Warhol in a restaurante but they turned him down because he was too young  Less then 3 years later he was invited to Institute for Art and Urban Resources

 He did graffiti paintings  In 1982 he took the art world by storm  His art was known over seas by the age of 24

 He preferred women and drugs over mostly anything  He died on August 12 th 1988 of a drug overdose. He was only 28 years old.
